Smallville is an American television series that aired from October 16, 2001, to May 13, 2011. The show was developed by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, and it is based on the DC Comics character Superman, created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. A Warner Brothers production, the series focuses on the early years of Clark Kent, who later becomes Superman, before he fully embraces his destiny as the iconic superhero. 

In Season 5, Christopher Petry became one of the 2nd Unit Directors tasked with directing pick up sequences that ranged from car chases to fight scenes to insert photography. By Seasons 9 & 10 Chris had become an Associate Producer of 44 episodes of the series, served as 2nd Unit Director on of over 30 episodes and Directed 3 full episodes for the show. To this day, Smallville is the longest running Superhero series to have been produced for television with a fanbase that spans the globe.
