the last of us
HBO’s The Last of Us post-apocalyptic drama television series was an adaptation created by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann from the popular video game.
The series is set twenty years into a pandemic caused by a mass fungal infection, which causes its hosts to transform into zombie-like creatures and collapses society. The first season, based on the 2013 game, follows Joel (Pedro Pascal), a smuggler tasked with escorting the immune teenager Ellie (Bella Ramsey) across a post-apocalyptic United States.
Shot within Alberta over the course of a year, working with the show’s Visual Effects Supervisor Alex Wang, John Cameron served as second unit VFX supervisor and having a full time team member Hansen Wei Cotrell for the run of the show.
