META started here with athletes telling their stories over 20 years ago working with ESPN. Regardless of notoriety or professional level athlete’s stories are universal and powerful.
This series grew from initial concept working with Toronto Maple Leafs captain Jonathan Tavares to a series of over 20 spots featuring athletes such as gold medal Olympian Sarah Nurse, NHL Minnesota Wild’s Matt Dumba, boxer Ivy Richardson, Paralympian Josh Dueck, national team and Olympian Desiree Scott, basketball star David Kapinga and rising star Jenna Walker to local community baseball and competitive football clubs. each story is unique and tells their story of their life and the love of the game.
